HUNGARY: World Became **Safer** After Trump\u2019s Resumption of Russian-US Dialogue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Foreign Minister of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, said that \u201cwith President [Donald] Trump entering office, I think the world has already become a safer place because the Russian and the American leaderships have re-engaged with each other.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n @FM_Szijjarto further added that he hopes that a comprehensive agreement between US-Russia will be found within the 50-day time period, which was proposed by President Trump. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n From his point of view, the lack of direct contact between Moscow and Washington was a threat to global stability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n “Beforehand, there was no live dialog or communication between the two, which was very dangerous from the perspective of global security,” Szijjarto added. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Foreign Minister highlighted that if the relations between the US and Russia are at least at a \u201ccivilized\u201d level, then Central European countries, such as Hungary, will benefit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hungary was one of the first European countries which was in favor of a ceasefire and was heavily criticized for its efforts.
