Efforts to describe an underlying doctrine describing the Trump second term foreign policy all fail, including the administration’s own National Security Strategy from November 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The war with Iran contradicts the stated priorities in the NSS, and are simply the outgrowth of Trump’s perception of self-interest.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
